So I am writing on a 2015 Challenger, doing what I thought was going to be a one step and coat. I am using a white hybrid pad, americana finishing polish and did 4 section passed on 5. Paint looks horrific. Now the car was a show room car abd the dealer left me tons of caked on wax. Suggestions on making this look better? I changed pads after each panel.

I haven't used Americana products but I am curious if you have access to Meguiar's ultimate compound or ultimate polish? I would suggest you do a test spot and see when you get the best improvement. Duplicate that process around the car and see what you get.

My hunch is the owner is going to be extra particular about the results since it was a show car.

Good luck and post more pictures as you can.

I'm actually being picky, it was in the show room floor when he bought it and the dealer probably beat it up wiping it down. I have the megs products, just washed a dozen pads in the pad washer, I'll see what I can do. It's only in the sun, under halogen and fluorescent it looks awesome.

Menz 2500 on a white hybrid, which is what I should have just used anyway did the trick.

Great, you demonstrated a very, VERY nice improvement.

I'd follow with SF4000 or SF4500 (SF4000 will easily do the trick), with a Black / Gray finishing Hybrid pad.

So that's essentially a 2-step, 2500 like you already did, and finish down with SF4000.

Be prepared to be stunned, SF4000 has this power 101 percent of times I finish a polishing work with it.

Good luck, let us know!

Kind Regards.

2500 on a white and followed with 4000 on a black. Wiped with prep sol and coated. I'll post pictures later, thanks everyone.
