I'm for the first time going to detail my car next week. The problem is that i dont know what to use or why.

What are the steps? In order? Wash ,wax, polish??? Idk whats intailed.

I read about rubbing compound used to remove scratches, wax is a extra protection for clear coat, polish?? What else is left in order?

Thanks. Is rubbing compound only used on an area with a deep scratch? Or on the whole car?

Depends on the car and how badly the clear is damaged. Rule of thumb is to start with a test spot with polish and if that doesn't work well then you need to compound.
