I have been using a hf polisher first thing I got was a new 5'' backing plate I just wanted to know whats the smallest pad and largest pad I could use with that backing plate

two pads that will work great with the 5" DA backing plate (and traditional style DA) would be the B&S 5.5" pads and megs 5" DA foam discs...

The smallest, you'd probably want to go, is 5.25/5.5". I've heard of people using 6.5" pads with the 5" bp, but I tried it and didn't lile it. It was difficult to center, and didn't feel right.

I just bought Meguiar's new 5" flat/thin pads and after using them on my car for the first time I am sold! I love these things.

agreed. anyone who has the PC/XP, HFDA and and any other traditional DA that is a little under-powered compared to the GG6, should give these pads a try... :props:

Thanks guys so far I have the 5.5'' B&S and LC Hydrotech pads the meguiars 5'' will be my next pad

I've had great success with the LC 5.5" Flat Pads.
