I've been purchasing from Autogeek for a few years but just recently started browsing the forums. Seems like the right place to be for detailing knowledge :)

Here is a pic of the wife's new Subaru WRX. It came from the dealer full of scratches on the roof and already had that sand paper feel. So I cleaned (waterless wash), hand compounded the roof and a few spots on the trunk, clayed and then polished and waxed with a DA, all Meg's products used. I also debadged to make cleaning/waxing easier. We live in a condo so getting to a water source is a pain. I'm thinking of buying both D114 and D115 for rinseless and waterless washing. Anyone have experience with either of those? Rinseless two bucket method for dirty cars or does it matter?

And here is a pic of the hood on a '98 vette we had years ago. I picked it up used and the paint was in bad shape, don't have before pics though. This car is what got me started and how i found Autogeek.

I use D114. It's good stuff. But I don't do much rinseless since I have a hose. I use the D114 for waterless wipedowns. I'm not sure I'd buy both D114 and D115. D114 is more versatile because you can use it as a pre-LSP cleaner. Then again, if you're looking to save time, the added wax component of D115 makes sense; it can help extend the life of you LSP.

D114/D115 is fantastic stuff. I like to combine the two methods together. Use D115 as a panel pre soak to help break down the dirt while adding extra lubricity to the surface before getting started with your Rinse less wash.

Thanks for the welcome. If I'm using D115 for weekly waterless cleanings when do I use a spray wax or is it not needed? Also will using D115 opposed to D114 regularly extend the life of the wax?

Welcome. The detailing community is very rich here in NoVA.

I have just ran out of D115 but can tell you it provides great protection. I have used it for a couple of years now and during the winters in my garage. You will not need to follow up with a spray wax. If you have protection on your car it would be considered "boosting" IMO.

I also have a gallon of D114 and D156 if you would like to take some samples. My business is in Springfield but I live out in Sterling. Give me a holler via PM if you want.
