HI iam having trouble finding out if meguires ultimate compound or similar product is Safe to use on the side panels of my Parents Ducato Motorhome. The Panels have been marked by the cover it was stored in over Winter.
I have used Autoglym super resin polish and it has helped a great deal to brighten the surface up but because its not a compound its not taken out the shading marks that have been left by the cover and the fact its never been polished before, but it has been washed since new in 2007 lol
Any Help advise would be great thanks

oh and i will be using a DA polisher as 25ft long and 9+ ft tall is too much to do by hand:-))

I would start by checking with the manufacturer, Fiat, for their official recommendations.

You want to find out if it's painted, some type of pre-fabricated panels with a molded in finish or ?

Sounds like it is not just Gel Coat but maybe paint.I use a cover on my 5ver and there are no marks.

Thanks guys.
Its been covered over last 3 years and no problems but this winter seems to have taken it's toll and was unsure ther was enough of a coat of paint to be cut. I will get photo of it and see if any recommendations tomorrow
Cheers

Pictures ?. What color is it ?. If it is just Gel Coat you should be fine. Last time I did the 5ver I used 3M super duty (AKA Rocks in a bottle) and the most aggressive wool pad I had to take care of the oxidation. I would start with something mild as I started with Megs 105 but it was going very slow. That was the point I moved on with the 3M.
