Hey guys, I use a Makita rotary and a pc7424xp. Would it be worth it to upgrade to a 3401? Could that handle alot of my rotary jobs? Thanks for any opinions and advice.

IMO yes. The Flex is a "Forced Rotational" Dual Action Polisher. It will not be as powerful as your Makita, however, there would be less chances of "holograms". It would be the only DA that would be somewhat similar to a rotary. Additionally, once you use the Flex the PC7424 XP (I have one too) will be delegated to occasional use (I do use it only by choice).

Since you use a rotary I would assume you would adapt quickly to the Flex. If you get the Flex get all the Backing Plates...Lake Country and Flex Plates. You will have quite a bit of versatility with the Flex.

If you can afford to get the Flex then get it. You will never look back and you will be amazed at how much more you can accomplish when comparing to the PC. IMO you would reduce your work time about 40- 50 percent.

I got it and I am so happy that I did!
