I'm sold on the Meguiar's MT300 and the new thin foam discs. You have lots of options for waxes and sealants. Do you have any that you have been considering?

Greg I think you hold the record for King Lurker!

Can't go wrong with the Rupes or Flex. Saving time correcting is something you're going to want with a big black truck.

If you budget allows the Flex is a great all purpose machine with plenty of power.

Recommendation for products? If you need everything I would buy one of the kits from AG with Flex, pads, compound, Polish, sealant... I would look at the Wolfgang & Blackfire kits. Oh and maybe add in the Blackfire Coating instead of the sealant..

I just had a similar thread that might help get you started.

I only used the Griots Garage polisher once so far but I am happy with it's performance. I will however order the 5" backing plate and 5.5" pads. I have a 2013 Fusion also Tuxedo Black that has a lot of little curves and flares that you don't notice until you try going over them with the polisher.

The Nano Skin wash mitt was awesome. Soooo much better than using clay imo.

I also ordered a bunch of new micro fiber towels. Amazon has 6 packs of Chemical Guys 16.5 x 16.5 micro fiber towels for about $12 a pack. I just received them today and they are very nice for the price. Very soft and thick.

As for compounds, waxes and polishes, there are so many to choose from it can be a bit overwhelming.

Forceofwill, good one your right, do I need to polish the truck before I put the sealant on? If I do what polish should I get I have Black Fire sealant. What color pad do need for polishing and what for sealant or wax?

I use Wolfgang products on my f-150 my truck being mint I need nothing more than LC grey I use flat pads. Also Collinite 845 is a very good wax/sealant. When I got my truck from the dealer I clayed it did the Wolfgang finishing glaze which is a fine polish I love this stuff, topped with Collinite or Wolfgang sealant good to go. Use proper wash technique and your tuxedo black with pop.
