Hello,

I'm a newbie to detailing and need advice on how to remove the swirls from my son's '07 Hyundai Santa Fe. It's a DD that sits outside 24/7. (pics of the hood)

I'm using a PC 7424 with LC flat 5.5 orange cutting pad. Will Meg's Glaze #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 work on this or do I need something with a little more bite? I plan to follow it up with Pinnacle Cleansing Polish and then #845.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Go with Megs Ultimate Compound. Hyundai has some hard paint.

•First of all:
-Meguiars Mirror Glaze #9 Swirl Remover
is a "Cleaner-Polish"

•Secondly:
-"Test Spot" & "Least Aggressive First" (both ~MP's)
-If your pad/tool/Pinnacle Paint Cleaner combo doesn't
meet your expectations...move up to the M09.

Let us know how that goes.
You may need to go even more "aggressive".

Thanks for the feedback. I did use UC purchased OTC after the wife said "no more purchases from AG for a while" - used #845 as my LSP. It's my son's dd - a shame he doesn't appreciate it as much as I do. Typical teenager!

1) Don't you hate when the wives do that?
2) Did your son even notice, or did he just ask: "What's different about my car?"
3) Great job, looks better than new.
