i saw someone post a car where they applied 3 coats of CQF. last time i asked the guy a question about one of his details he lied to his online "friends" elsewhere about what i asked and told them i said something completely different.

so, i'll ask the user base instead and save myself the hassle: is CQF designed for that and if so, what's the actual (not hypothetical) benefit vs. one coat...or two?

i know with Opti-Coat Pro, the idea was that layering was not necessary because, if i recall correctly, it wouldn't necessarily make the overall coating harder or any more effective than the initial single coat would. also, there was the question if the second coat would effectively bond to the initial coat.

now OPT offers Pro+ which is a coating on top of a coating...but there is a genuine difference between the top coat and the initial coat. it's a two coating system, not multiple coats of the same stuff.

CQF is supposed to have 2 coats to ensure that it is covered sufficiently well to honour the warranty. I did 3 coats on my mother's Lexus last year and it looked brilliant! The benefit of the extra coat? Basically a bit more of the benefit from using it in the first place: Stronger protection, thicker coat, glossier finish.
