Help.

Working on applying BF coating.

Question.

Once a coating is applied you knock down high spots.
OK, I'm not to buff it off, right?

Reason I'm asking is because it looks like it won't dry clear.

I'm hoping that the below thread contains

From the other thread:
It is a very thin liquid with a viscosity similar to water. Apply a thin coat (cross hatch), wait a minute, then gently level any high spots.

I would apply, then wait a minute or so then softly wipe it down to level.

What applicator are you using?

Glad to see you got it all worked out ok Kevin.

Sorry I missed your first call this morning, (we were in the basement). Oh... I also didn't have that number for you (had your other one in my contact list). I did a quick Google search and realized it was from your area code (which is why I called ya' when I did).

Anywho.... glad I could help brother, any time, any place... you're always welcome to give me a ring. (Like notice it's 2:40AM and I'm replying from my phone in bed.)

Saw the pictures in the other thread... looks like a coating should look! :D

That gloss will (or should) look even better after curing for 24 hours. :)

Looks like my next coating trial will be Gtechniq C1 with C2v3. If not C1 with EXO. Although... I've been thinking about looking into their new pro version, (crystal serum).

Here's a blurb about it.

>>>With a 9h top and softer 7h base layer (based on the pencil hardness test), Serum offers improved swirl resistance over regular 9h coatings. It forms a thick combined film which greatly reduces surface hazing and improves gloss.<<<<

With a 7 year duty cycle it'd be AWESOME! :D

Just have to make SURE it's well knocked down and even or you have to wet sand it off and start over
