How far do you go in exhaust polishing? I normally go as far as one can see when walking around the car. Sometimes the muffler if its a nice catback. Like my Mugen Titanium Duals.

(Im looking over my shoulder as I type this. My wife is getting on my case for being on the forum during vacation.)

You are not a real OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Detailer) unless you stop at ehaust gasket between header and block ...

... and then continue.

Same thoughts on that too. However, alot of my vette clients have stainless or chrome mufflers. So I have to do a little lying on the ground to bling them up.

Here is an example

I find that when you go that extra mile the customer really notices and most importantly (at least for me) I'm satisfied with the work done. You can't call your self a detailer if you take shortcuts ;). Besides in all my details I aim for the the stars, why aim so low....but that's just me.

HighEndDetail - That's beautifull :D

As far as you can reach without killing your knuckles!

If you can see it from the back of the car, either from a distance or a low vantage point, it should be done. Same goes for the cars that have the plastic covers over the fuel tanks (mustangs, etc.), the plastic should be dressed.

Oh sure...every car...yea right! LOL...nope, just the Mach 1 I had for a show car. The young couple I sold it to probably isn't going to keep it that nice, but they are enjoying the ride!

Maybe when I get enough $jelly beans to afford a street rod, I'll do that again.

Like most people here, only as much as you can see. For my car thats just the tips. I do them every time i wash the car. They get dirty so quick!
