Hello autogeek! My name is Greg. I'm 29 years old and live in Albany, NY. I've lived my whole life in upstate NY, so as a car enthusiast, I'm plenty used to being a loner. After purchasing my latest car, a MK6 VW GTI, I joined an online community based around it, and have loved connecting with other people like me. So I'm trying the same thing here!

My detailing story is probably very familiar sounding. I started off doing very basic work on my previous car, an E46 BMW 328i, and fell in love. Over the past couple years, I've spent hours lurking on this very forum and have learned so much. I've moved up in the world in regards to my knowledge, and the supplies and equipment that I own, and even had a couple paying detailing jobs recently. It's a rush. I'm very very fortunate that I work for my family's glass business here, as it's provided me an indoor garage with access to water, tools, great overhead lighting, and comfortable temperatures.

So anyways, thanks for having me, and I look forward to contributing to this awesome community. :props:

My car, and my new summer wheels (it just snowed yesterday, dammit!)

Glad to have you. Nice looking MK6 you have there. Make sure to post pics when wheels are installed. Any suspension mods planned?

Thanks Mike! I have Eibach lowering springs installed already, at about a 1 finger gap all around. I find it to be a great combination for looks and driveability. It's also great because they're fully compatible with my stock struts and shocks! Certainly not slammed, but compared to the SUV gap status that these cars have stock, it's great.

Good stuff Greg! Im sure it handles better now. Can't wait to see mounted pics.

I have H&R sports and Koni yellows on my 335i sedan. Running a bit more negative camber than stock as well. Rock solid stability at Autobahn speeds.

Thanks man, it's been rough. My friends in Lindenhurst said the snow actually wasn't that horrible there this year so I guess you were due!

Just wanted to update with some photos of the wheels mounted. I got the wheels from another VW guy lightly used, and they were in gorgeous conditions minus some swirls that you'd expect. After a good decon, light polish, and application of Opti Gloss Coat, words can't describe how much these wheels POP, much less cell phone camera photos, but here they are anyway ;)
