After a friend referred Phums to me, he had booked his Golf7 .:R for a full detail after a brief chat with me. The car was dropped off at my place at around 8am on Sunday morning. The car was rather dirty, with the paint and gloss black bits on the exterior in desperate need of some love.

I started off by cleaning the interior ( as I always do ). I vacuumed the whole car, followed by a compressed air blow-out, followed by a vacuum again. After this I cleaned and treated all the leather aswell as wiping off all the door cards, centre console etc.

This was the outcome-

After that I cleaned the engine bay, which was fairly clean to start off with. I had blown all the dust out, cleaned with APC and various brushes and finally rinsed off with the HP washer before drying the engine bay again. Pics of the engine bay will follow later on.

Next up was the wheels and wheel arches. I cleaned them using APC, VP Bilberry Wheel Cleaner, AF Iron out, various brushes, HP washer.

The door shuds, petrol flap and badges were cleaned with APC and VP brushes. Thereafter the car got rinsed and foamed up, followed by a 2bucket wash method, rinsed off again and dried. After that it was decontaminated with AF Iron out followed by a clay session using a fine claybar. The paint was corrected making 2 passed on FG400 with Cyclo Orange pads, followed by 1 pass of SF4000 on Green Cyclo pads.

After polishing, a coat of Menz PL was applied, left to haze and wiped off. The glass, exhausts, tires, arches and other trim had been treated aswell.

After a long day of working on the car, this was the end result - Enjoy

Wow! Great work and I'm lovin those wheels. The days in South Africa must have 40 hours in them. Can't wrap my head around you did that much work in one day. Also, props on using the Cyclo.

It's summer here atm so we have 12hours of sunlight more or less. After almost 2 years of detailing fulltime I have taught myself to work quicker and smarter to get it all done in a day. After this I almost immediately pass out :buffing: :buffing:

Love that blue. How does it look in the sun?

Looks INSANE !! Unfortunately no direct sunlight shots, as you can see from the very first picture in my thread, direct sunlight and my phone camera didn't work too well on this color
