1995 Lancer EVO III clear coat or not?

Hello does a 1995 lancer EVO III have clear coat or is it a single stage paint? Started a test spot on it and my pad turned yellow the color of the car.
Never worked on a single stage was going to hit it with Menzerna 3in1 but not sure now?

First, check if the place you did a spot test was repainted with a single stage color. Try other parts as well to see if you still get yellow. I believe 3in1 in a single stage won't hurt either. Single stage sucks because you have to clean/wash your pads more often, and your DA/Rotary will become yellow in some parts.
I had cars with single stage in the hood and trunk, clearcoat in the doors and roof.

I tried a few other spots and same results. Well gonna just go with the 3in1 looks goods.

So this was my first experience with a single stage paint.
Griots with LC CCS orange pad and Menzerna 3in1.
Came out pretty good the owner was very happy but I wish I could have taken more of the swirls out of it.
Cell phone pics and now its For sale. Its also right hand drive

Love that car, too bad we had to wait another 8 yrs to get it here. Those older EVOs are so much smaller too🇯🇵
