need some help on this. What could this be?

A little background on the paint.
1. This is a new car which is around 3-4weeks old out from the dealer.
2. The location of the picture was at the driver side fender and door.
3. I have tried correcting it before I took the picture starting with a Makita 9227c with a white pad and Menzerna PF2200 at 1200-1300rpm with 4 slow passes, I still cant remove and I moved on to LC yellow pad with M101 with the same speed. It refuses to go, then I hit it again with same speed but 6 passes. It still like this. I dare not go anymore without risking removing more paint than I would want to.
4. I did a IPA wipe, still the same. I took out my wax and silicone remover(or panel wipe), still the same.

what could this be?

Weird. Are those pictures taken with a flash? Try to take another without.

Also, is it a Pearl color? What is the texture like?

sorry.. forgot to include the color. The color is Tafetta White. Honda's solid white color. Not pearl.

thats my spotlight. if I were to take without a flash or any form of light source, the camera could not pick it up. only under direct lighting such as this.

texture, I cant feel it with my fingers. It felt smooth.

it was a customer's car anyways. highly doubt he will bring back to the dealer to rectify it as he was happy with the car.

This is actually my 2nd experience on this. First being on a Ford Focus MK2 european version. Also solid white color.

curious. if its smooth to the touch, my guess would be that is something that was in the colour coat when it was applied to the car. if that is the case, then the only way to remove it would be to strip that area back to the primer and respray it. probably best left well alone

I have a brand new silver Honda Fit with the exact same issue in the clear coat. Stopping by the service center at dealership today for a different reason, and will point that out and see what they have to say. Others on the Fit forums have complained about similar problems, but I don't think anyone has gotten it resolved...

My 06 GTO has the same issue. Drives me nuts cause I can see it in the daylight and in my garage.

Nothing you can do about it except a full re-spray.

Yup, that needs a repaint if it feels smooth.

Looks like pits in the paint. Have you tried wet sanding?

Since it's a new vehicle and you have a paint warranty you need to take it back to the dealer and let them look at it.
