How do you guys do your initial Wool pad wash? And how about after use?

I rinse my wool in plain water, then squeeze as mush excess water from the pad. I set the pad on an old terry towel to absorb remaining water and let air dry for 24 hours or so. I keep 3 pads in rotation all the time.

I clean my wool with a spur after each panel. You don't want to let wool pads load up with product....nasty!

Haven't washed mine yet and feeling a little guilty. So far they just get some passes with the spur and reused. This is a through back to years ago when we didn't wash them, just used the corner of a screw driver which probably wasn't too good. Anyway, I'm sure they need to be washed so I'd like to learn too.
