i recently restored the paint on a vintage Porsche for a hotrod fabricator. it had a horrible respray and some hard water etching in the hood, then it was parked outside for a few years. after a little color sanding and 2-step polish the paint came back to life. 2 days after returning the car the customer took it to a local concours show to show it off to has hot rod buddies. he returned to the shop on Monday and said "You know...... i got really tired of telling everyone i didn't get my car repainted"

yes it is, i am hooked on it. the customer wanted to mock up a mirror for the front fender and tried using blue painters tape to protect the finish, only to find the PowerLock would not let the tape stick to it!!

Congrats. It doesn't get much better than that for your hard work. It is also great word of mouth to the crowd that really understands and will pay for the service.

I love the repaint comments and even had a customer tear up once.

Hopefully, the Porsche will bring you a lot more work!

One word.....WOW!!!

Beautiful work!!

BTW, what grit wet sandpaper did you use? Just curious. I prefer 2000 - 2500 (I mainly use 2500 most of the time).

this paint was fairly soft so i only needed 3000, but i did quite a bit of back and forth sanding and compounding untill i achieved my results.
