I live in southern CA and its sunny today but not hot. Would it be safe to detail a car today? i was mybe thinking of putting up a cover over car. Feed back please

As long as the surface of the car is cool to the touch, you should be good. IF the surface is hot then you want to do it in the shade.

^ this. Number one thing is invest in a pop up tent of some sort.

You just can't detail a car in the direct sunlight.
You can barely wash a car in direct sun let alone compound, polish or wax it.
You have to have shade. Even a little 10x10 Easy Up will work, just move it as you need.
