Question on tape.

I have Scotch painter tape, medium adhesion. It's leaving a white streak on the edge when I take it off.
Do I need something else. Gonna hit the cat tonight! Ought to be fun.

The cat? Hmm.. it may be that the same is old and some of the adhesives are clinging to the edges. I used 3m Blue tape and it came off clean. Sorry I can't help.

Is that the blue tape your using??? if so.....i never had any problems with it...maybe yours is old???

Why use tape? Where do you place it? around the windows?

Windows, trim, basically anything you don't want product on. I use it when doing a side by side comparison on the hood. Works great when it doesn't leave a mark. Comes off nice and CLEAN.

The cat??? oooppps. Hope the nieghbors don't find out! :D It's blue painters tape. Maybe it's the DACP I was using. I hate getting stuff around the rubber seals on the door handles.

Did you tape up the car then use your products ?

Could it be your product has bonded with the glue from on the edge of the tape.
This happen with my last detail when i pulled the taped. I hit with it some QD'er
and applied my LSP..

make sure you always use the painters tape ,especially when the climate is hot. The tape/glue will bond to your paint..Glad you got it off
