If you're working out doors without any shade, it will probably make things a lot easier since the surface of the car won't be as hot and the products won't dry up as quickly.

As long as it isn't really cold or really hot, you shouldn't see much of a difference.

I'm in southern california as well and the weather is nice out to do some detailing. You will be fine.

I'd say the conditions you describe are ideal. I'm in Simi Valley.

It makes a difference here. When it's like 20 degrees the water freezes on the car. In So Cal, I think no sun is probably the best time to work on paint. Panels stay cool.

It was a tad cool here tonight (58 deg), but I still did a rinse less wash.

By the way you may want to take Mark up on his offer if you are near by.

I'm lucky enough to have a detail shop but before I did I had no problems polishing paint as long as I was in the shade.
What I do is to allow the paint to be cool before I do anything to the car, washing included.

it's better when the sun isn't out because you don't have to worry about the wax drying on you.
