Really wish I could of attended this but family duties were needed. Going to be doing my father in laws 34 Intrepid in the next week or so. Got some Marine 31 stuff to try out and will be posting my thoughts and results.

Just one quick question. I am assuming you used a rotary then followed up with 3401 for final polishing? Did you use the purple foamed wool pad?

:dblthumb2: Great to hear Jeff!

Hahaha, great picture! I'm guessing, having been there in winter & being rather tropical - that getting hit with the hose would've been quite refreshing.

Agreed! Working with Mike & Nick is awesome. :props: How many in the class Jeff? Car guys? Boat guys? A mix of both? I thought this class would be great, pleased you let me know it was! Boats on the menu at Artistry Auto Detailing! :props:

Thank you for the update Jeff.

Aaryn NZ. :xyxthumbs:

Aaryn it was about 90 outside so getting sprayed with the hose probably was refreshing. There was about 15 or 20 guys in the class. I would say a mix of car and boat guys but a few more boat guys for sure. Its always fun every time i get a chance to hang out at Autogeek :xyxthumbs:

Smokinss.. We wet sanded it first with a porter cable, then we used a rotary with the white wool pads. No hybrid purple foamed wool but we did polish it with the flex 3401 using a purple foam pad. This foam purple pad was awesome for the boat but i think it would rip the paint right off a car. Here is a link to the foam pads i think we polished with. Then we finished it off with removing the oils and sealing it with a Marine 31 gel coat Coating. Yes a coating for boats and i thinks it will be available next week. Thats how new it is but if you call Nick he can help you out more for sure. Good luck with the Intrepid and they will have more boat classes in the future. The class was awesome!

Your welcome and that foam pad i put a link to i am not sure that is the exact pad we used. It was purple and had all those cuts in it. Maybe Mike or Nick will check this post. The coating was easy and it is nice that they have one for boats now.

Thanks Nick! Looking forward to trying out the Marine 31 stuff! Usually I dread doing boats. But I have a feeling this will be different
