hi all last year i had my 1992 grand am repainted its original black.

i then prepped it and applied CQuartz followed by EXO per directions .

i had some heavy areas if the CQ but i correccted those with panel wipe and a lighter reapplication

subsequently I've topped the car off with Sonax sealent and layer Collinite 845

i wash it with ONR and then apply a spray wax to remove any streaks

in garage light the car looks good but outside there is streaking and blotches in certain areas.

they don't come out with a spray detailer I was wondering about trying to polish them out or to just use panel wipe on the whole car and start over

i might be victim of too much layering with different products but i cant help myself sometimes
Im the MAN

Whatever your theory is...do a Test Spot, instead of applying your theory to the entire vehicle at once

bonedr,
I believe too many polymers will create the above condition. Kind of like it's not good to add too much Polycharger to any product.
Yes, strip it and start all over. Remember to take pics & post!

Absolutely no need for all those products.

Right now, my vehicle has, 4*UPP, Liquid Souveran, Fuzion(thanks Troy!), Wolfgang Spray Sealant and more. Yes, it's a waste of product, but I love it!

Wow! Why would you put EXO on top of CQuartz? Then all of this other stuff? I am at a loss. I'd stick with just the coating and if any per say topper the one recommended by the manufacturer in your case reload or HydrO2, and leave it at that.

I'm sure your blotching and streaking is from over applying or mixing of too many chemicals on the surface. So yes I would polish it then if you are going to coat it stick with it. If you want to constantly be applying things just use waxes...

I think you have too many layers of stuff going on. It's hard to know what is actually left with all those chemicals combined.

Uhhhh.... Ya' think? YES YOU MIGHT BE!

I've had Pinnacle Black Label Coating Booster smear when applied to PBL coating that wasn't but 24 hours old. I can't IMAGINE why you'd put so many *different* products from so many *different* manufacturers all on top of one another. :dunno:

I've also seen spray wax/sealants smear on black paint when applied too thick, too often. (Even Duragloss Aquawax!)
