Hi All,
I am a newbie, but have really enjoyed this site.
I have been working on my 1956 and have run into an issue I am hoping someone can help with.
The car was painted a couple of years ago with a single stage acrylic enamel that I finally got around to wet sanding. Started with 1500 and then went to 2000.
I tried to remove the wet sanding scratches using a wool pad, MG 105 and a rotary buffer, but could not get them out!
Then tried a section with a 3000 sanding disc on a DA. This now gave me swirly scratches instead of straight, but I still couldn't get them out with the 105 and the wool pad.
After looking through some posts, it appears I must have pretty 'hard paint'!
Am I doing something wrong, or is there something else I should try?
Thanks
