sorry no pictures as my house was broken into and they stole my new digi camera and camcorder.
just took out my factory interior floor mats (http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=109133#) (front and rear) and noticed a black outline of the mat around the edges.
I just tried using my Wolfgang interior wash (this stuff has taken out ALL of the previous stains on my carpets interior) and this black ring is still there...
I'm thinking it might be from the rubber on the back of the mats?
Anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
thanks
dave
Rinse with hose, spray on Woolite/ Water 8:1 scrub, rinse thoroughly, dry.
If that doesnt work then get some Folex.

thanks.
These stains are on the interior carpet, not the floor mats. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.
My wife even agrees with me that this is some kind of stain from the rubber backing of the OEM floor mats.
I'll try the diluted woolite and see how it goes. thanks !!

Oh my....how could you have let them get dirty in the first place? I don't. Folex did not work. Yikes.

*I* didn't let it get that dirty... I just purchased this vehicle from someone else....
I cannot think of a reason that the rubber backing on the floor mats would stain... Maybe the mats got hot? I've never seen this before... Might have to try a small hidden spot and see if some kind of mineral spirts help.
