View Full Version : Sonax 3/6 and m205.. Same level cut?

While Sonax markets their product as 3/6 (which on a scale of 10 almost equates to (5/10).. But on this chart, http://www.autopiaforums.com/Todd-Helme/polish-chart.jpg , its rated as cut level 3 on a scale of 10 (whereas Meguiars m205 is cut level 4 on this chart). :confused::confused::confused:

I understand 3/6 is pad dependent and possibly the rating above is with a polishing/finishing pad (?) and the cut level can be increased with a compounding pad (e.g. LC/B&S orange flat) which is where it can go to 4or5 on scale of 10.

Would appreciate input from people's experience and specifically would like to hear from users that have really used sonax3/6 on a DA.

The context of above query is that I am looking for a one step (to cater 75% usual dry dusting/wash damage on soft/medium paints) with a GG6 at hand.
