Hey guys so I'm walking through my garage and notice this on my moms car. It's a white Audi. There seems to be a drop of something on the paint. I tried to polish it out a month or so ago and it didn't help at all. Any ideas what this is?

When I run my nail over it it feels like nails on a chalk board. That makes me think it ate through the CC.

It does not look good at all for you there brother. It looks like paint is peeling off??
If so must be paint IMO

Just a stab in the dark but it reminds me of a fuel stain like when filling up at a gas station and it drips onto the paint.

I am no expert but it sure looks like clear coat failure.
What year is the Audi?

Is that the front fender? Was it in for service anytime recently? It looks like something somewhat caustic spilled or dripped on it, maybe brake fluid?

Hit it with a Cleaner Wax and see if that removes some if the staining

Brake fluid sounds like a very good educated guess to me

Someone who has a test panel; go put some drops of brake fluid on it and report back

Hmm good guesses guys. The car is a 2010.

Something dropped on it during service sounds plausible. Brake fluid hasn't been changed I don't believe. Still has original brakes.
