I am curious if it's worth the cost to get a hot water extractor if I already have the Daimer Kleenjet 300cs steamer? I have never used an extractor and not sure if it would be quicker/better than the steamer for cleaning carpets?

Thank you

Consider just experimenting with a cheap unit that can duplicate the results of a more expensive unit. The ideal choice would be a portable unit from Bissell. You can land one for $100, or so.
Personally, I feel extractors are superior, but take longer.
Both an extractor and a steamer should be in your arsenal.

I bought a Mytee this year for the house and to do cars. Truly an amazing machine!

I have a Big Mytee and a VX5000. 80% of cars don't need a hot water extraction, but for the ones that do it is a life saver.
