Hey guys,

I'm looking to restore a couple headlights and was looking for some good velcro sanding discs to use with my polisher. I initially had Meguiars in mind, but for ~$35/box per grit, I might as well grab some new headlights!

Any suggestions?

PS.. It's the finishing discs that are murder!
Can I stop at 1500 grit and move on to polishing? (chemical guys V series)

If you're just doing your own lenses, yes you can stop at 1500 (assuming you have compound capable of removing 1500 grit sanding marks that finishes up nicely). If you plan on doing more than a few sets, it may be wiser to invest in discs up to 3000 grit, skip the polishing steps, and switch to a dedicated headlamp clear coat product or 2k clear coat paint.

I was looking for some for the same reason, and was thinking about as a side job. Yes, they are very expensive once u get to the finishing disks. Also look/search for Mirka Abralon foamed backed and Norton Ice finishing foam disks. Problem for us is finding small quantity, say 5, for a good price.
