Product: Opti-seal

What it is: It a sealant that is allied and left. There is no need for buffing as it dries clear

Price: $22.99 USD for 8 oz

Amount used: much less then an oz. I used very little and still used to much

Directions: (paraphrased): Mist on applicator or panel and apply evenly. The streaks will disappear leaving a clear sealant

How I used: I started by misting my yellow foam applicator pad. When I applied it I could not feel anything. It was not wet or slick like I expected but though oh well it’s what the instructions tell me to do.
I then misted one half of the hood with 1 press of the sprayer. I then applied the sealant as evenly as I could. I then moved onto the next part of the hood.
I continued this until the car was done. I found on large areas I used more then I should have as I felt I needed to apply the product more often then was really needed

During application: So once I applied I went back and checked everything out. Yes there were a few steaks but they disappeared after a few minutes.
It was weird I was not expecting much from this product. I thought how great it can be for how easy it is to use. Boy was I wrong

Results: Stunning. Like I said I was not expecting the car to be that shinny. But boy was I wrong. I don’t often use sealants but my brother used my car for a road trip to Kelowna and so I wanted maximum protection. I wanted something that I knew would work out for the situation. When I stepped back the car was every shinny. I thought it compared in looks to the Wolfgang deep gloss sealant. I would not hesitate to say it was on par. And to boot I was faster and easier to use. Also I went back to look at the car the next day. It looked even better. It defiantly needs the time to cure for the final look.

Durability: I don’t know yet. It has only been a few days so it’s too early to tell

Final thoughts: Man do I love this stuff. Its shinny, which is not something I look for but most people who hire me to detail want shine. This product will deliver that. It was easy to use; cost per application was very little. It performed well, did its job to more then expectations. And finally it’s fast. I had the whole car done in10 minutes.
I think I will be using it as my go to lsp. I am happy as It makes life easy, the customer is happy as the car looks good and the protection is there.

I would defiantly put this on the worth tying list…. But as labar Burton said on reading rainbow… don’t take my word for it.

any comments or questions?

I have yet to see a detail yet that I like the look of Opti Seal. Without pictures it's hard to judge the results of a product.

So i was working all day and did not have a chance to upload the pictures. So I am home now and just finshed up lodading the pics.
I only focused on the paint. the wheels and stuff still need work but its going on a road trip for a week so I will do it whenit gets back.
Also the car was driven back to my houe from my parents so yes there is a little dust on it. But no harm no foul

well its supposted to rain today so I decided i would go play with the hose.
I sprayed my car down to see how the beading and sheating of opti-seal was.. i used both a spray nozel and just the hose.

It has not been more then 2 weeks since I detailed the car.
To put it simply I was disapointed by what I saw.
The car did not sheet water like I would have expected. It was only a little better then no protection.

Then I tried the nozel and the beading was disapointing again. The beads were not uniform or tight. They looked like the ones when the wax is wearingout.

Here are some pics of the beading

So i dont think I will be using htis on customers cars as I had mentioned before. It looked good for the amount of work it took howeer the end rsult doe not seam worth it. I would rather spend the time bufing for that little more

Well I guees i would change my recomendation from try it, to see if you can steal a samplefrom a freind....

My DD's are outside 24/7 and OS doesn't seem to last that long for me either. I was all about this product at first but have since moved on to other products and back to old favorites like duragloss. However I still use opti-seal and zaino clear seal for my rims after I wash the vehicle and it seems to help cut down on some of the brake dust (weekly washes).
