I searched the forum and didn't find anything. The how to only used Ragg to cleaner which I don't have. Wondering what would be best to clean it with. APC heavily diluted, microfiber cleaner diluted, CG Citus Clear shampoo?
Feed back please

Just use shampoo concentrated. If that isn't enough - and you don't want mail order - go to yr local BMW dealer and by BMW convertible top cleaner. It's excellent and under $10.

For fabric convertible tops the Tornador vac attachment is amazing.

Is it fabric or vinyl top? For each I use slightly different approach.

Thank you. I was thinking since it's fabric microfiber wash might work better...
I'm just a hobbyest and don't really do enough cars to justify a Tornado

The Mercedes top cleaner is made by Ragg Topp, but at the dealership it's more than twice the price you'll find it on AG.
303 Aerospace fabric cleaner is what I use, along with a natural bristle scrub brush (boar's hair?) I got here. I wash, rinse and dry the car as normal, then wet the top and spray the 303 generously, spread quickly without scrubbing, let dwell a few minutes then scrub. The foam is visibly dirty, lifting dirt out of the weave. Rinse thoroughly, blot dry and run a fan overnight to dry completely before taping off and spraying at least two coats of 303 fabric convertible top protectant.

I won't use an APC on convertible tops.
I go with this RaggTopp cleaner and protector kit:

I've been using 303 Fabric Cleaner and 303 Fabric Guard on my canvas top for the past couple years and I really like both products. Haven't used any of the raggtop products so I can't really compare them.
Morning after a rainy night w/ 303 Fabric Guard:

Agreed, this is my eighth winter with this car and 303 still beads like crazy before I clean and reapply every fall.

Anyone with the vinyl roof that looks like coated fabric?
Is it supposed to be waterproof?
I know there is a waterproof layer between the outer layer and the headliner, but supposedly, on older tops that layer can crack and let water in
