I was looking at Fuzion wax and the claim that it does not stain trim. I think this means that taping can be avoided which I think would be great. Please excuse my ignorance, are there oyher quality polishes, sealants and waxes which would allow you to skip taping?

All quality modern waxes / sealants shouldn't stain trim. I can't think of one AGO sells that does, although someone will be sure to point out one I'm sure.

Thanks for replys. So using tape with Menzerna SF4000 and Blackfire polish, sealant and Midnight Sun is not necessary?

That is what I thought, and why I have taped trim off. Sure would be nice to eliminate the tape.

Even if there were compounds that did not stain trim; you should still tape off the trim during this aggressive step to avoid damaging the trim by abrasion

I sometimes remove the tape after before polishing

For another example, CG Pete's 53 stains trim like you wouldn't believe. I have not had a trim staining issue with Midnight Sun; it's an excellent wax and one of my favorites.

Most of the Spray Waxes will not stain trim and will make the waxing process really quick and easy.:xyxthumbs:
