OK I have some Ultima Waterless Wash Plus on the way. I have been reading the forums and all the forums state that they use microfiber towels for washing. My question is there that much of a difference using microfiber versus cotton towels? I have a lot of good thick towels that I can use instead. Thanks for your help.

Yes HUGE difference!!! The cotton towels are too aggressive and will definitely induce marring/light scratches in the clear coat. In turn doling the shine and creating the spiderwebs you see on most cars.

Do not touch your paint with a cotton towel or this Forum will self-destruct!
Partially kidding
Microfiber is designed to grab and hold dirt and debris making it ideal for waterless and rinseless washes
There are people out there that still use very high quality, expensive cotton towels and swear they are better for some tasks
I only use them for cleaning carpet
