i was contacted by a person to do a detail on a 2006 Jaguar
it is for sale so the owner wanted to bring some life to it. i was not full blown detail just , he wanted to make it look nice.
one step was performed
after wash and clay it still look terrible so i hit it with Wolfgang TSR and not what i wanted, so i went again to my trusty combo with Rupes green pad and Menzerna SIP 1500 and it looked satisfactory. paint was sealed with Blackfire then Collinite
interior dressed up with Meg interior dressing, CG tire gell.
didn't take to many after shots since i was pressed for time and forgot at the end lol.. sorry.. but you should get the picture
let me know what do u think , and if you want any more info.
thanks

Very nice work, glad to hear about how good your trusty setup works, took note. Can you describe a little more about passes / pressure and speeds used with the setup?

Rupes system is all about this, color coding pads with paint, no!? hehe

Thanks for sharing,

Kind Regards.

thanks for kind words Tato
well the pressure id say medium, i start with speed one to spread it on the surface that I'm doing, bumping it to 4 or 5 depending what my test spot looked like. I'm using Rupes 21 with 6" pads. green pads seem to finish very nice. all depends on what owner wants to do.. this car really needed 2 steps, heavy compound then polishing. but it was no time, and owner didn't want it to go crazy.. he was very happy with outcome. he said that paint almost looks different color. paint still had a lot of scratches ( Rids )
that i didn't go after.. it almost looked like someone was scraping ICE of the paint with scraper.. terrible. it was a satisfactory end result.

That's a great finish with SIP 1500.

What is so rare about this jag? Green? AWD? Or that combo in a wagon?

Gotcha. My inlaws have the same wagon in black; I agree about the hood and will add: everything in front of the windshield is a pain in the butt.

When I saw the title I was like "rare 06' Jag?", then I saw the pics, Estate! I wonder if they made em' in 6 spd manuals here? Overseas?

Either way, nice job and I love BRG:thumbup:

Nice.

I don't think I've ever seen a Jag wagon before.

This is what I call a Jaguar!
I wonder why people want to sell something so classy & very cool for all the family, especially after your magic touch made it even more class & higher.
The new Cougars models some look sporty, sexy & elegant but it's Pandora's Box I heard from a pal who owns new XF.
Avoid the XF altogether, XJ, XK & F-Type is all what's left if you are only Cougars fan. These are my few coins, I would never want it even for free, there are so many nicer & better cars for this price.
People who buy it & are crazy about it?
Me & Tata Motors send them The Best Wishes Greeting Card from Pune, India.

Thank you guys for kind words. That baby is sold. Story is that it was purchased by the buyer from out of state, but shipping company busted the oil pan on it. Not sure if there was a damage to the engine. Buyer was not happy at all. I dont blame him.
Dont have any sun shots sorry. The weather didnt cooperate when i was doing it. It did look sparkly
Grill was cleaned with boars hair brush while it was washed then blow dried and wiped down with MF towel folded and ran in the holes lol. My hands and fingers hurt a little after that lol.
