And some say people (Ms. Conyers) don't get what they deserve.

It is truly astounding, the blight that is Detroit. As one of the video's touched on however, government (perhaps even leftist) at it's finest.

Lots of troubling stuff there about her, (well outside of her political quandary) least of which was her marrying a man that was 61 when she was TWENTY FIVE!!!!!!

That's truly some sad stuff. I'm not a native, having been born and raised in Pittsburgh, but I still have some attachments to the Motor City. I went to college at General Motors Institute in Flint in the early 70's, co-opped out of Hydra-Matic in Ypsilanti half the year, living in the Eastern suburbs of Detroit. Even back then there was crime, murder and drugs, but a lot of those neighborhoods were populated by 2nd and 3rd generation Europeans who worked for Chrysler, Ford and GM and kept their modest neighborhoods tidy and prospering.
I'm not politically or economically versed enough to offer any reasons why such a once-great city can fall into such decline, but I do firmly believe that when manufacturing declines, the overall quality of life declines with it.
