How likely is it that this will happen from the ice sliding off since the paint is slick

I have not found that to be a significant contributor and I do tend to be careful how I get the ice to roll off.

I don't think it's a big problem, but I do notice some unexplained light marring once the spring thaw hits. I've always blamed ice movement based on the location and the fact I explain marks in that location any other way. What ever the cause, a light polish takes care of it.

Frank,

Here's hoping this bout of lake effect snow has been kinder to you guys in your part of the Country...than it has in and around Buffalo!

It is sad that your new car is getting snow and ice on it already. But at least you are blessed with having a dependable means of transportation during this Winter season. :props:

Now, to address your thread starter's question:
Any "glacier effects" on a Silver vehicle would be difficult
(for me) to see...especially this time of year!

Anyways..let's say it's buggerd as it is.
Springtime it'll get properly corrected.
Just in time for pollen and poo---lordy, lordy:
What can we do?

Bob

Well so far we're just getting the temperature not the snow. Thank god I feel sorry for erie and buffalo. They said 70 inches after it's all said and done in buffalo

Some very light scratches might come up in the spring time, however it is good to note that when ice slips off a cars panel, it has water where the body panel meets the ice therefore giving it some sort of a "lubrication".

And it's not even officially winter yet.

Stay safe.
