First and foremost, I'm sorry I did not take any pictures of the holograms..

Here is the situation, I was using a LC black pad on my Makita 9227c with the lowest setting to apply blacklight. I did the whole car and I went back to the panel I first started and buffed off the residue. Should be roughly around after the 15mins time as per recommended by CG.

When I finish the buffing, I took my light to check for any place I missed and to my horror it like there is holograms all over the car. I thought it was the residue but I buffed hard it won't go off. So I took my 20% IPA solution and wipe.. then it's gone..

I was wondering.. does blacklight dry up too quickly? If it's so, does it dry up the way it did? Or is there something esle missing?

Assuming that the holograms are from the product not the rotary: Sounds like it was either applied too thick or didn't have a chance to haze/cure completely before wiping it off, maybe a little of both.

If the problem persists after trying much less product and letting it haze/cure longer, then, in keeping with the CG product line, instead of IPA, you could try V07 to remove any holograms thus leaving some additional protection behind rather than potentially stripping it.

what type of towels were used for wipe off?

also, blacklight is an aio, so it might have uncovered these swirls that were once hidden, tell some more, would love to help.

I was using the IPA with the intention to stripped it off to see whether is the product giving the holograms or have I caused the holograms. it seems I can wipe the "holograms" off. In the end I top it up with Opti-seal instead.

the car was first compounded with LC purple foam wool with a compound that Im trying out(dont think this is an issue cause I tested a panel, finish with LC white pad + Menzerna SF4500 and wiped it down with 20% IPA, no holograms or swirls), finished with a white pad and Menzerna SF4500. rinsed with water, lightly wiped dry and went over the whole car with 20% IPA then thorough inspection before I started to apply BL with LC black pad at speed 1 of my makita 9227c...

never happened before, just wondering whats wrong..

I wouldn't use BL after paint correction. I'd use it between corrections.
