I have a question that I don't recall seeing mentioned before.
Does a hot water wash remove any of the synthetic coatings? I'm assuming it doesn't, but thought I would ask. I know it will remove wax.

I worked at a shop that used a hose connected only to the shop's hot water tank, which was cranked up to high all of the time, and I used to use it to de-ice my vehicle when it was frozen-over. I never had an issue with glass cracking. Not saying yours will or won't.

Depending on the "car-wash shampoo" that's to be incorporated...
Coatings are unlikely to be removed by hot water-washes.
Note:
At this point in time...
I'm not going to comment on your statement that such a hot-water car-wash solution will remove Waxes. :)
