Right now i use a bunch of smaller towels to dry cars with. Im interested in purchasing quality waffle weaves dedicated for drying.

I have however read somewhere that waffle weaves are more suited for blot drying as opposed to dragging bc it doesnt move comfortably

Is this true?

I like to move and drag my drying towels and will not purchase them if they stick too much. Is a towel like dry me crazy more suited to my style of drying?

Please chime in!

I would say yes that it's suited to your needs. Cobra guzzlers, WW towels from TRC are very good, but hands down Microfiber Madness DMC is the best drying towel I've ever used!

Waffle weaves drag just fine.

All my drying towels are good-quality WW. No issue AT ALL.

I like 16 × 16 towels. I have a few bigger and find them more difficult to handle

Dry me a River towels are not bad. I purchased 26 x 59 Premium . Way too big. 20x40 seems to be just right size.

I totally agree that the Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy is "The Best", and if you were interested in a top quality waffle weave I would be looking at the CarPro Skyline waffle weave. Economical enough, awesome GSM for a waffle weave and dries with the drag technique like nothing else I've tried (except for DMC)

Huge towels are just too big - handling and weight.

While the MM madness towels are great - you can just use the 600 gsm super plush green 600 gsm towels from MF Tech if you want to dry with a fluffy towel.

One of those towels will dry my waxed SUV - and they are like $4.

Thanks for the input guys

Ill likely be investing in a few dry me a river jrs bc of the price and size. What concerns me a little is the listed gsm, but it should be a major improvement over our costco towels for drying. Ill also be picking up some super plush towels (like 10) for really nice cars we come across, as swanic suggested.

In my limited experience dry me a river towels don't like to glide across the paint like you want them to.

I use a Meguiars X2000 Water Magnet and it works great.

Meguiars Water Magnet is a soft waffle weave microfiber drying towel that's softer than terry towels and more absorbent than a chamois. Attracts water (http://www.autogeek.net/x2000.html)
