2014 SEMA Pictures off my trusty, dusty camera and my cell phone too... (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/86589-2014-sema-pictures-off-my-trusty-dusty-camera.html)
Quick comment about SEMA this year. First Dennis Gage was signing autographs in our booth 2 days in a row and he's very well connected to everyone in the hierarchy at SEMA so his information is accurate and he said that all the numbers for measuring SEMA are through the roof high. That is the most vendors, the most participants, the most products, the most attendees etc. etc. etc.
And this was very easy to see by the constant volume of people in our booth and walking around at the show. (see a few pictures below that show crazy traffic).
My personal comment is that I love going to and working at SEMA. I think this is my 10th or 11th year in a row. I've made friends all around the United States and the world from almost 30 years of teaching detailing classes and it's always great to meet these people again, sometimes after not having seen them for decades.
SEMA is a great place to network with current friends and peers in the industry while making new friends and this year was over the top for both.
Working in Autogeek's SEMA booth is a lot of hard work but it's also a lot of fun and I wouldn't trade it for anything....
The first couple of years with Autogeek I took a lot of the pictures of the cars and the show. These last few years Yancy has taken over this duty so I don't end up with too many pictures on my camera to share as most of the time I'm teaching a mini class in our booth or shaking hands and talking shop.
Here's what I do have from my camera and after this post I share what is on my cell phone...
Here's the "Pinnacle Booth", this is the booth I helped to man as well as where our guest VIPs signed autographs.

This is Pat Reisinger and Ty Hauer, Pat let us use his 1931 Model A Hotrod for our recent taping at "My Classic Car" with Dennis Gage. Ty, on my right is the shop foreman and head of all the builds they do at their shop.
Their hotrod Model A will also be the feature car in Street Rodder Magazine in January and you can see it here (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-expert-featuring-mike-phillips/86077-pinnacle-advanced-compound-action.html).

Lots of pictures this year with Dennis. Autogeek has been the Title Sponsor for "My Classic Car" for going on 5 years now and the last few years I've had approximately 12 segments which is almost every show. (A season is 13 episodes) In most cases the people in line to see Dennis also recognized me from my work on his show and often times while standing in the line would ask me a detailing question.
