What do you wear when you detail?

No, I am not expecting some fashion show here, but while I was washing the car this evening, I started contemplating this...

I, as a woman, wear tights and a soft shirt..... I do this so I can lean against the car and not worry about zippers, buttons, etc. I am short, so to reach the roof, the center of the windshield, etc I need to get close and personal.

But as a guy... I don't see you wearing tights :eek:
So what do you wear? Or do you stay away front the car and it doesn't matter?

What? Just cause a guy wears tights that's supposed to mean something?? I mean ... I wear sweat pants or sweat shorts. Pleated kaki shorts don't usually have any buttons in the front.

I wear either sweat pants or gym shorts with a golf shirt. Nothing with any buttons or zippers that could mar the finish when I lean on the vehicle. I also take off my wedding ring and watch for the same reason.

Sweat pants or shorts, cotton t-shirt. No rings, watches or any jewelry. I make sure the clothes I wear will not scratch the car when I am reaching for the roof.

UA heat gear t-shirt, and UA shorts with pockets. Nothing in pockets. No watches, rings etc.

Yup, workout tights, a t-shirt or something soft, and rings come off. Sneakers and a ponytail :dblthumb2:

Going "ring free" is pretty easy now since we got matching wedding bands tattooed on for our anniversary :dblthumb2:

Summer it's white t shirt and shorts,pockets empty. Cooler seasons it's sweats,top and bottom. No jewelry.

Nike dri-fit sweatpants or shorts, usually with a dri-fit Detroit Tigers/Lions or Spartans shirt. Breaths well enough, don't care if they get full of soap/chemicals.

Usually have to remember to take my watch off, I sleep with it on, lol.

in the summer its active were .. if the temps are around 40 degrees I wear Jeans, and a turtleneck.
