Hi Guys,

I am going to detail my wife's 2006 VW Jetta this weekend. She takes it to the car wash once in a while. I am sure the paint will need to be clayed. I was wondering about the prep before I start. Any tips of taping off the head and tail lights?

Here is what I am planning on doing:

1. Use "two bucket method"
2. Wash wheels first
3. Wash with CG Citrus Wash/Bug Buster
4. Clay Bar w/ clay magic
5. Rewash
6. Apply M-Sealant to Car
7. Apply Pete's 53 after sealant dries
8. Apply Duragloss for Trim and tire dressing

Interior
1. vacuum
2. Treat dash with what??

Thanks
Eric

if you aren't polishing there isn't a need to tape off the trim just for clay. you can clay the headlights, glass too.
interior protectant that AG carries...i would vote for 303 followed by PB NL.

I am going to use the M-Seal and the Pete's 53. Silly question, Polish compound is separate ?

Thanks

A compound is a strong polish.
