So I dropped my car off at the dealership for scheduled service and noticed when I got home that there was a light scratch, as if it was a finger nail mark by the door's edge. My car was just detailed a month earlier so it was swirl and scratch free. I'm pretty familiar with various types of scratches and I know that it will polish out. Instead of going back to my detailer to polish the entire door, could I just hand polish the mark without having to do the whole door? If so, any recommendations on polish to use and cloth? Thanks.

It depends on how bad the scratch is. Also, if it truly is scratch and swirl free then there shouldnt be an issue with the hand polished section standing out.

Id pick up a polish and a compoud, and start with the polish first. Then try the compound if that doesnt work. Maybe meguiars ultimate polish and compound, bc its available almost anywhere.

Then just rewax the area
