I am still loking for a good detail ladder.
I need to stand a minimum of 36in but would like 4ft
Not a step ladder its to unstable. I have to lean in order to get into middle part of truck roof
I was looking into little gaint safety step ladder but i am not sure. how close i can get to the truck
will the 4 step saftey ladder be high enough
It basically what i neeed it for is to work high and the middle part of the truck
PS i also tried those foldable extention ladder to unstable
There must be something that you professional detailers use

Costco also has one that has the grippy stuff on it. It's also an inch or so taller.

I never seen that at Costco. Now I have to go shopping to see if mine has that

That looks nice and looks like exactly what I'm looking for. There's two in the link, a 21" and 41" I doubt 21 inches is enough for larger trucks, but the 41" is rather pricey. Any local places (Home Depot, Lowes, Costco) carry something similar and might be a little better priced, or is $163 what one should expect?

I've got a 4-step ladder that works, but is way too bulky and I've been wanting a platform for a while. Thanks!

I just picked up a 21" platform this week for $35 at Canadian Tire (a B&M home and automotive retailer up here). It looks like the one on the left on the Google page linked above. Rated to 250 lbs and comes with a three year guarantee.

I had looked for one similar to the one at the top of the list in the link at Lowes and Home Depot, and couldn't find anything except bulky step ladders. I ended up getting the Werner one through Amazon. It was a little over $100 I believe. It's light for sure, and convenient. But is it me or is everything overpriced and flimsy feeling nowadays? It works great, but when standing on it I don't feel super confident. Granted I'm not dancing on it, but I just think the bottoms of the legs should have a better surface that grabs the ground more, especially concrete. Just a heads up on that...

I have and like this: Portable Detailing Platform & Workbench - Griot's Garage (http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/portable+detailing+platform+workbench.do?sortby=ou rPicks&page=2)

Besides getting up high enough to reach the roof of my truck, it has come in handy for a second workbench with household projects. I love the power cord connections.

I recently painting my Jeep and borrowed ladder/platform like the on in post #2 to get me high enough to paint the roof. Worked like a dream. It's on my next to get list. Ace is just around the corner so that's a good place to get.

The Werner platform normally goes on sale ($17-$19) around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Is 21" enough for larger trucks, or would you guys go with the 41" werner?
