I got a gallon of megs water based dressing today. I still have half gallon of hyper dressing.

I forgot that theres also all season dressing. Plus their tire and trim gel.

Hyper dressing can dilute as low as 4:1.. water based can be 1:1. The all season is straight out of the bottle.

I'm just gonna assume they're all gonna be similar. Anyone use all 3 yet

You have 4 tires....try them all next time

Tires may be a good, accelerated test of how they will perform on other surfaces

ASD is definitely the glossiest of the three. I use Hyper dressing mostly for wheel wells.

I'll try all of them eventually

I haven't used the others but I like Tire & Trim Gel. It's what I use on my personal car's.

•JMO:
-Your cutting off the number of Meguiar's "dressings"
pretty short, by just listing these 3-4.

Hyper dressing can dilute as low as 4:1.. water based can be 1:1. The all season is straight out of the bottle.

•Since HyperDressing is dilutable...
-shouldn't it also be considered water-based?

I'm just gonna assume they're all gonna be similar.
Assuming similarities, if any, between D160, 170, and 171?

I have used D160, D170, D171...
as well as other Meguiar's "dressings".

after using PERL, i probably will no longer buy any other water based dressing. using it at 3:1 works great for the wheels wells and for the tires. if i detailed hundreds of cars every month then i would probably use HD, but i don't so PERL it is...

1. Hyper dressing i currently use for engines/wells. :xyxthumbs:

2. ASD I really did not like. Gave a uneven coating on the wells.

3. WBD Still avaliable? White. I used this before HD. Again it was great on engines/wells.

I do just the opposite....All Season has silicones in it that are not very tire friendly. With the solvent base it works great in wells and lasts much longer there too. For tires I use Hyper at 3:1 and will apply a second coat for more gloss if needed. I also use at at 10: for interior dressing too - works great there.

The store owner said that hyper dressing is sort of the new version of water based. I bought it anyway just to try

Where do you find those safety data sheets Bob?

I was assuming that they look similar. Especially if HD and WB are diluted to look shiny. Someone said all season is pretty shiny

You can just do a quick google search for the MSDS of any product. Manufacturer's are required to have them in the U.S., but there is no requirement they give them to you.

Really?
I'd say it is TOTALLY water based. ;)
I too use it for wells and undercarriage type stuff. Never for tires, have gel(s) for that.
Keep HD @ 5:1, 3:1, 1:1. Same thing for PERL actually. :props:
