This is the car that I had posted that was coming to me with bad swirls and in addition it had been compounded twice after trying to correct the problem. I was apprehensive with this job as I had no way of knowing how much clear was left. I was definitely going to take the least aggresive method and move up slowly. It turned out that my magic elixir (106ff) came to the party big time and eliminated the swirls on the first run. OMG I just love Menzerna products!!! Anyway, here's the process for this one. I was very happy with the results, especially how the flake popped on it..it was a beautiful colour.;) I even had a PDR guy come by and pop out 2 dents. They were impossible to access, so he had to use the glue gun. The results were good. The closeup shot of the dent is from just behind the passenger door and you can see by the after shot of the area that it's gone.
You can also see a shot of the rain gutter above the door where the last guy burned through the paint..he did this on both sides!! I had the customer bring me touch up paint for those spots and others.

The Process:
Wash and bug removal
Wheels got about an hour's worth of attention, even behind the spokes
Clay with claymagic
Chrome exhaust tips polished with blue magic
Paint touch up and wet sand where necessary
106ff complete, Rotary application with white ccs pad
RMG applied by hand, Rotary removal with gray ccs pad
FMJ applied/removed by hand
Collinite 476 applied/removed by hand
Wheels done by hand with XMT 360
Tires with Megs endurance
Interior shampoo'd and vac'd
Interior surfaces treated with 303
Glass with IG

Very nice. What was the clear coat toughness?I would rate their CC toughness at medium, max. I did one and I really enjoyed detailing it

Supercharged: Thanks!

D & D: I would rate it as soft, although I don't know how it would compare to Ford's.

ehuth1: Thanks man!!

Wow, very nice. You can see where the time with the wheels paid off.

Ford is medium, and from this thread it looks like the Z is probably soft. Do you know what year this was?

Awesome job! That Z is shining, and great reflections. Love this close-up of the paint and flakes. How much did the PDR cost?
