Wouldn't it be great if it is the same as paint sealants!!!

I work in the stone industry, and use sealers daily. The only thing I've been brave enough to apply them to was a work truck window. The sheeting was fantastic, and longevity was impressive. However, most sealants are silicone impregnators, meant to seep into holes and fill them, preventing anything from penetrating the surface. I believe I've heard before that silicone sealants are not to be used with paint.

Another note, these sealants are very thick once they are spread, and I've noticed that if a stone is less porous than average, the sealant has nowhere to go and is a much greater PITA to remove. That's being said, I think it's wise to use dedicated products for their dedicated purpose.

I take it that you have not heard of cquartz, opti coat, etc.

I think everyone has heard about Opri, cQuartz, etc., but the cost is ridiculous. Can't blame the guy from trying to find a similar product. Like him, I am sure there are other companies selling a similar product for other applications.

Professional stone sealants often cost over 100.00 per gallon.

They are not cheap either.

Stone protectors are often reactive and the necessary chemistry doesn't exist on paint.
