Hello guys, long time since I last posted but thought I should post the Mach 1 being how much I love the car and the job:xyxthumbs:

As I said, it's a 1971 model, one owner and never had much work done to it according to the owner , he told me he always washed it himself and waxed it about twice a year.

I first saw the car via text message and thought , wow this car has no shine.
Yesterday I started with it and finished today.

Here's my steps for the paint correction

Washed. Dawn Soap
Clay barred
Using my DeWalt 849x , double sided wool pad and Wolfgang Uber I buffed the entire car out, I love this machine. :dblthumb2:
Polished it out using my Porter Cable along with a 5" Lake Country finishing pad and Optimum polish
Sealed using Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant.
Dressed the tires using Meguiar's Hyper Dressing.
Protected all of the black trim using the Wolfgang Trim Sealant.

The Uber along with the wool pad cut right through the oxidation quickly, if you haven't tried the Uber yet please do, it's an amazing product. :dblthumb2:

Only a few before pictures

This was fun for me being it was my first muscle car I ever had the pleasure of working on.

Thanks for looking, let me know what you guys think.

Kevin, with your bad back you should have sent me that SWEEEET mustang. I'm only about 20-30 miles from you :)

As usual, well done my fellow cajun!

I would have done this one using my cane if I had too. Lol
Back is getting better, oh, we need to get together one day and detail something.

Funny story and true.

Yesterday as I was about to stop for the day the owner called his wife and asked her how the car looked, she said "Well it's clean, no different after you cleaned it "

Keep in mind I had it looking really good just after step one, so when he got home he saw it and said his jaw dropped , the first thing he thought of was a "Car Show" entry.

He told his wife, "That is so not how it looks when I clean it"

Couldn't help but laugh. :dblthumb2:

Thanks Bobby:dblthumb2:

The hood was the worst, large hood which took about two hours using my rotary to remove the water etching but I was determined to get it perfect as I could, after the hood I was moving along rather quickly.
Can't say enough about the Wolfgang Uber Compound:dblthumb2:

it would take me all day to detail this sucker, I'd take twice as long to do everything so I could soak it up. Then I'd probably spend an hour sitting in pretending to drive it lol.
