Rescued some VERY hacked up headlights today

Customer came up from Houston and a local Mazda dealer quoted her about $900 for a new pair of lights but looked me up online for her to save some money. She mentioned on the phone someone had cleaned them up before and they were pretty scratched so I told her most moderate scratches can be removed but deep ones cannot. Booked her within the hour and when I got to the house, my jaw almost dropped. It looked like they took 120 grit sandpaper and then used 80 grit to try and clean up the scratches. Roll up the sleeves and do work!

I didn't have to fire my biggest missiles this time because they are a slightly soft plastic but I took some extra time just because of what a poor job they had done for her in the past. After I was done, I found out her dad did the restoration attempt. So, without being too harsh I said customers can sometimes get too aggressive and do more harm than good. I'm very pleased with the way they turned out and ~95% correction rate put a smile on both of their faces. :dblthumb2:

Thanks for the compliments, guys! Surprisingly, it only took 800 grit by hand to get a clean slate going, then work my way up to 2000. Hit them with the Wolfgang twins and they're ready to coat with the LSP of your choice.
