View Full Version : Any types of windshield glass scratch remover/polisher of some sort?

I have a client with an older muscle car and his front windshield has a light double scratch on it because the rubber part of his wiper blade came off and it laid a nice swipe across the glass.

He asked me to detail his car but he REALLY wants to get rid of that window scratch without having to replace the entire windshield...

Any of you know a product of any kind that can actually do this?

There are some specific pads and a silca based polish that can 'improve' defects in the glass. But like paint the depth of the defect determains the level of correction possible.

I have used this setup to remove water spots and to smooth over some minor chipping. Good luck.

CarPro Ceriglass (http://www.autogeek.net/carpro-ceriglass-500ml.html) with CarPro Rayon Glass Polishing Pad, glass leveling discs (http://www.autogeek.net/carpro-rayon-glass-polishing-pad.html) and seal with Detailer’s Glass Coating, glass sealant, rain repellent (http://www.autogeek.net/auto-glass-coating.html). Don't use Lake Country glass pads as they're too aggressive. And search this forum/youtube for process.
