I need to purchase a ‘handheld’ vacuum and want the ‘best’. Any recommendations (good or bad)?

Don't know what to tail you on handheld vac. I only have a 6.5 HP ridged. Maybe someone can chime in and help you out. Sorry.
I do want to welcome you to AGOL...

If you are looking for a cordless, the B&D with the pivoting head had a good review from Popular Mechanics magazine. There is a video HERE (http://www.popularmechanics.com/home_journal/home_improvement/4204346.html) about it.

Dirt Devil sucks. I knew I was gonna be messy, that's one brand I would not buy. I really liked that Black&Decker in the video.

:iagree: :iagree:

While we love our Dyson Animal, I recently tried the handheld and returned it to Lowes. It didnt measure up to the Metro's.
